North American 2011 leg in the works

RUSH has added more dates to their recently announced 2011 “Time Machine Tour” of the UK /Europe and have plans to swing back to North America between March and July.
New dates announced in Europe include: May 4  Helsinki, Finland, May 6  Stockholm, Sweden, May 8  Malmo, Sweden and May 29 Frankfurt, Germany.
Tickets go on sale date Nov 30. reports that the legendary Canadian power trio is also planning more shows for North America between March and July, playing markets missed during the band’s 2010 outing with dates soon to be announced.
Other 2011 dates announced last week include: May 12: Dublin O2, May 14: Glasgow SECC, May 16: Sheffield Motorpoint Arena, May 19: Manchester MEN Arena, May 21: Newcastle, Metro Radio Arena, May 22: Birmingham LG Arena and May 25: London O2 Arena.

Miss American 2011 Teresa Scanlan

London fashion buzzing over Kate's dress designer

The paparazzi have camped out on the doorstep of veteran British designer Bruce Oldfield, but some fashion insiders say Middleton may have discovered her own unknown, much like her prince's mother did when the shy Lady Diana Spencer married Prince Charles at St. Paul's Cathedral three decades ago.
At this week's Burberry show, the Telegraph newspaper's influential Fashion Editor Hilary Alexander said the designer of the dress Middleton will wear when she marries Britain's Prince William on April 29th is likely to be an unknown.
"I think she's got someone she's discovered, like her own secret discovery, and it'll be made in absolutely top secret conditions and we won't know until on the day but I suspect it'll be something beautiful," Alexander said.
Most fashion experts agree that Middleton will most likely choose a British designer, although no specific requirements about home-grown talent are stipulated by Buckingham Palace.
British designers who have been mentioned besides Oldfield include Matthew Williamson, couture wedding dress designer and the bookies' favorite Phillipa Lepley; as well as former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, who has only recently begun to design her own clothes after years of wearing luxury labels.
Speculation around Beckham heightened after it was revealed that she and her soccer player husband David had been invited to the wedding.
The paparazzi have already surrounded Oldfield's shop in London's Knightsbridge since Middleton, her mother and her sister were seen leaving the showroom. According to vogue.co.uk, Oldfield greeted Middleton himself.
Oldfield no longer shows at London Fashion Week but due to the increased media attention and demand from potential brides and "Kate wannabes," he has put photographs of some of his classic but modern wedding gowns on his website.

Vivienne Westwood blasts Kate Middleton`s style

Designer Vivienne Westwood said she isn't designing Kate Middleton's wedding dress and blasted the bride-to-be's style.
The 69-year-old designer, who was speaking at her recent show at the Royal Courts of Justice, said: 'I would have loved to have dressed Kate Middleton but I have to wait until she kind of catches up a bit somewhere with style.'
The designer added: 'Sorry. I'm not going to say anymore, that's it. When people ask me where she's going to get the dress from - she's definitely not going to get it from me.'

Kate's dress, the talk of London Fashion Week

Britain's top designers were showing off their new hotly anticipated collections at London Fashion Week till a couple of days ago - but whereas fabrics and colour palettes are the usual topic of conversation, this season there is only one subject on everybody's lips; Kate Middleton's wedding dress.

With just over two months to go until the royal wedding, speculation is rife over who will be designing the bridal gown.

Backstage at her fashion show on Sunday, iconic designer Vivienne Westwood wasn't coy about whether she'd been asked to design Middleton's dress for her wedding to Prince William. The answer - sadly, she says - is no.

"She's definitely not getting it from me or else I would have heard," Westwood said.
The designer did admit that she would love to dress Middleton, but said "we have to wait until she catches up a bit" when it comes to style.
